About This Item
Description
The Hotone Ampero II Stomp MP-300 packs the same 460-effect Ampero II engine into the smallest, lightest board-mount chassis in the line, with stereo inputs and outputs, a stereo FX loop, 5-pin MIDI and an 8-in/8-out USB audio interface.
Ampero II Stomp runs on a tri-core DSP platform with ESS Sabre AD/DA converters and Hotone's CDCM HD and F.I.R.E. modeling. Patches are built on a dual effect chain with serial or parallel routing and edited on a 4" 800 x 480 touchscreen, with three quick-access knobs under the screen, or in the free Ampero II software for Mac and Windows.
Why guitarists choose the Ampero II Stomp
- 460 effects (incl. global EQ) across 16 modules with 12 simultaneous slots and 300 patches – the same processing depth as Ampero II Stage and Ampero II, in a smaller enclosure.
- Smallest and lightest of the three second-generation processors at 1050 g and 185 x 145 x 58 mm, so it drops onto a compact board where Stage or Ampero II would not fit.
- Up to 3 scenes per patch for switching effect and parameter combinations inside one patch.
- Speaker IR loader: 20 Celestion IRs included, plus up to 50 user IRs (24-bit/44.1 kHz mono WAV, 1024 or 2048 points).
- Stereo looper with up to 60 seconds of recording and undo/redo.
- EXP/CTRL jack is made for Ampero Press or Ampero Switch, and MIDI IN is made for Ampero Control.
- Standard 5-pin MIDI in and out/thru and 2 x 1/4" TRS balanced outputs, for players who prefer conventional studio and stage connectors.
- Lower current draw than Stage or Ampero II at 800 mA max (9V), easier on a compact pedalboard power supply.
Controls and switches
- 4" 800 x 480 color touchscreen – full patch/effect editing on the unit.
- 3 assignable footswitches with halo LEDs – patch change, effect on/off, tap tempo.
- VOLUME knob, MENU/VALUE knob and 3 quick-access knobs for the parameters shown on screen.
- Individual input-mode setting per input: E.GT (electric guitar or bass), A.GT (acoustic) or Line.
- Rear-panel power switch.

FAQ
What power supply does it need? 9-18V DC center-negative, drawing up to 800 mA at 9V. A power adapter is included, and using it is recommended.
How is Ampero II Stomp different from Ampero II Stage? Stomp is smaller and lighter (1050 g vs 1895 g) with a 4" screen instead of 5", three footswitches instead of eight, 5-pin MIDI instead of 1/8" TRS MIDI, TRS balanced outputs instead of XLR, and no mic preamp or Bluetooth.
Which pedals and controllers work with it? The EXP/CTRL jack takes Ampero Press or Ampero Switch, and the 5-pin MIDI IN is made for Ampero Control.
How many effect slots can I use at once? 12 simultaneous effect slots on a dual chain with serial or parallel routing, drawn from a library of 460 effects across 16 modules.
Can I record with it? Yes. The USB-C port is an 8-in/8-out USB Audio 2.0 interface with reamp support.
Can I use it with bass or acoustic guitar? Yes. Each input can be set to E.GT (electric guitar or bass), A.GT (acoustic) or Line.
