Description
The Hotone Ampero Press SP-30 is the simplest way to add a real volume-and-expression treadle to an Ampero-family processor, with no power supply to run.
Ampero Press is a compact passive 2-in-1 pedal: independent volume and expression output jacks let you control volume and an expression parameter at the same time. It is designed for Ampero series multi-effects, works with other devices that have an external EXP pedal jack, and can be used on its own as a passive volume pedal. The solid aluminum alloy casing has a black-and-gold textured finish, and a high-quality potentiometer gives precise response and long life.

Connections & Setup

Which Hotone devices work with Ampero Press? It is designed for the Ampero series: Ampero Mini's EXP/CTRL jack is made for it, and Ampero Control accepts it on EXP/CTRL 1 or 2 as an expression pedal. It also works with other devices that have an external EXP pedal jack.
Does Ampero Press need a power supply? No. It is a fully passive pedal – there is no DC jack and no battery compartment.
Can I use it for both volume and expression at once? Yes. The EXP OUT jack sends an independent expression signal to a device's expression input while the pedal still controls volume through the main signal path.
What is the difference between this and the 25kΩ Edition (SP-30H)? They share the same housing, 100 kΩ volume pot, size and weight; the difference is the expression pot – 10 kΩ here versus 25 kΩ on the Edition, which is designed for Ampero II Stomp and other devices that require a 25 kΩ expression pedal. Choose based on your host device's expression-input rating.
What cables do I need? Standard 1/4" instrument cables for INPUT and OUTPUT, and a 1/4" TRS (stereo) cable for EXP OUT. Cables are not included.
Is there a footswitch on this pedal? No. Ampero Press is treadle-only; for an expression pedal with a built-in momentary footswitch, see Ampero II Press (SP-35).
