About This Item
Description
The ISP Technologies Deci-Mate G squeezes the full Decimator G circuit – including a loop and direct-guitar tracking – into a micro pedal, so you can switch between clean and high-gain tones without re-adjusting the threshold.
Deci-Mate G is a micro-sized guitar noise reduction pedal built on ISP's Decimator G circuit with patent-pending tracking improvements. Its loop lets you insert noisy pedals or connect to an amp's series effects loop, while the pedal tracks the direct guitar signal, so the noise floor stays consistent when you change pedals or preamp gain. The adaptive release follows both fast staccato playing and long sustained notes, and the all-analog design delivers more than 90 dB of noise reduction.
Why guitarists choose this pedal
- Tracks the guitar's direct output, so the noise floor stays constant even when you change gain-heavy pedals or preamp settings.
- No threshold re-adjustment needed switching between clean and extreme high-gain tones.
- Built-in 3.5 mm TRS loop with an included Interface Y breakout cable to insert noisy pedals or tap an amp's series effects loop.
- Adaptive release over a 1000:1 ratio handles staccato riffs and long sustained notes.
- Full G-circuit functionality in a micro-pedal footprint: 3.7 x 1.5 x 1.3 in.
- Analog circuit with true bypass.
Controls
- Threshold knob – sets the noise reduction threshold; because the G circuit tracks the direct guitar signal, one setting works across gain changes. Set it just above the noise floor, then back it off slightly for a gate that stays quiet without choppiness.
Connections & Power
- Guitar input – 1/4", 500 kΩ input impedance.
- Output – 1/4".
- Loop – 3.5 mm TRS jack with send and return; the included Interface Y cable breaks it out to your pedals or the amp's series effects loop.
- Power – 9V DC, tip negative / sleeve positive (center-negative), 40 mA minimum. No battery operation; power supply not included.
- Signal-chain tip – for the most transparent results, put your drive pedals or the amp's preamp inside the loop (with an amp that has a series effects loop, this is the classic 4-cable setup); simply placing the pedal after the gain stage will not sound as natural.

FAQ
What does the 'G' loop actually do? It lets you insert your gain/distortion pedals (or connect to your amp's series effects loop) into the Deci-Mate G's loop, so the pedal tracks the clean guitar signal directly instead of the noisier post-gain signal.
Do I need to readjust the threshold when I switch from clean to high gain? No — because the Deci-Mate G tracks the direct guitar output, the same threshold setting works across gain changes.
What cable does the loop use? A 3.5 mm TRS Interface Y breakout cable, included with the pedal, connects the loop to your other pedals or your amp's series effects loop.
Can this run on battery power? No, it requires an external 9V DC center-negative adapter rated for at least 40 mA; the adapter is not included.
How is this different from the plain Deci-Mate? Both share the same micro chassis, 500 kΩ input, +10 dBu maximum input and adaptive release. The standard Deci-Mate has a single input and output with no loop; the Deci-Mate G adds the loop and direct-guitar tracking.
Is it true bypass? Yes, the Deci-Mate G is true bypass.
