About This Item
Description
A full-size Decimator noise-reduction circuit shrunk into a micro pedal, so pedalboard real estate does not force you to compromise on silencing hum and hiss.
The Deci-Mate is a full implementation of ISP's Decimator circuit with tracking improvements: its adaptive release follows the envelope of your playing and changes instantly from a very fast release on staccato riffs to a long, smooth release on sustained notes. The signal path is fully analog, so there is no digitizing, aliasing or digital artifacts.
Why guitarists choose this pedal
- Micro-size footprint: 3.7 x 1.5 x 1.3 in
- No effects loop – tracks its own input signal only, simplest signal path
- True bypass design keeps tone unaffected when off
- Greater than 90 dB of effective noise reduction despite the small size
- Adaptive release over a 1000:1 ratio, from fast staccato to long sustain
Controls
- Single knob – sets the noise-reduction threshold in real time; turn clockwise until the noise floor becomes inaudible, back off if signal decay is choked too quickly
- Footswitch – engages or bypasses the pedal (true bypass)
Connections & Power
- 1 x 1/4-inch guitar input (500 kΩ), 1 x 1/4-inch output
- Maximum input level: +10 dBu
- Power: 9V DC center-negative (tip negative, sleeve positive), 40 mA minimum; adapter not included
- Signal-chain placement: gain stages (overdrive, distortion, high-gain preamps) go before the pedal; delay and reverb after, so their tails stay natural.

FAQ
Do I need a power supply? Yes — the Deci-Mate does not take a 9V battery and needs an external 9V DC center-negative adapter rated at least 40 mA. Any standard pedalboard supply works; the adapter is not included.
Where do I put it in my signal chain? Immediately after your gain stages (overdrive, distortion, or high-gain preamp). Time-based effects such as delay and reverb belong after the Deci-Mate so their tails are not truncated.
Does the Deci-Mate have a loop? No. It has one input and one output and tracks the signal arriving at its own input. If you need a send/return so the noise reduction can track your direct guitar signal while cleaning up other pedals or an amp's effects loop, look at the Deci-Mate G.
Is the bypass true bypass? Yes, the pedal uses true bypass, so your tone is unaffected when the pedal is off.
Will it choke my sustained notes? The adaptive release tracks the decay of what you play, switching from a fast release on short notes to a long, smooth release on sustained ones, so set the threshold just above the noise floor and long notes fade naturally.
How big is it? It measures 3.7 x 1.5 x 1.3 in (94 x 38 x 33 mm), a micro-pedal footprint for crowded boards.
