About This Item

An isolated pedalboard supply with six galvanically isolated outputs and four separate voltage options: 9 V DC, 12 V DC, 18 V DC and 12 V AC. Every 9 V and 12 V outlet delivers 300 mA, outlet 4 switches to 18 V DC at 150 mA, and outputs 5 and 6 are alternatives offering either 9/12 V DC or 12 V AC rather than both at once. Five outputs run at the same time at 300 mA each for 1500 mA in total, and current doubling can combine two outputs for as much as 600 mA.

All outlets are centre-negative. A traditional EI transformer feeds noise-cancelling galvanic isolation on every output, so a noisy pedal cannot push hum into the rest of the board through a shared ground. The mains input is switchable between 115 V and 230 V, rated power consumption is a maximum of 40 W, and the fuse is a T315mA/250V type. The enclosure measures 160 × 38 × 80 mm (W × H × D) and weighs 790 g; supplied cables are a region-specific mains lead, a red AC cable for the 12 V AC outlet, an orange polarity inverter, a DC-to-mini-jack cable and eight 2.1 mm DC cables.

Description

A six-output, multi-voltage isolated power supply built for real pedalboards — the Fuel Tank Chameleon delivers 9 V DC, 12 V DC and 18 V DC plus a 12 V AC option, with five outputs usable at the same time, all from a single road-worthy enclosure.

Why guitarists choose this power supply

  • Six isolated outputs, five usable at the same time — every pedal gets its own regulated feed with no shared-ground crosstalk hum.
  • Multi-voltage — 9 V DC, 12 V DC, 18 V DC and 12 V AC from one brick to handle every pedal on your board.
  • Switchable 115 V / 230 V AC input — supports North American and European mains without a step-down transformer.
  • Short-circuit protection per output — a fault on one pedal will not take down the rest of your board.
  • Traditional EI transformer inside — analog power design engineered for low noise on high-gain and vintage-style pedals.

Output configuration

  • Outputs 1–3 supply 9 V DC or 12 V DC at 300 mA each — sized for the vast majority of stompboxes (fuzz, overdrive, EQ, tuner, small delays).
  • Output 4 supplies 9 V DC or 12 V DC at 300 mA, or switches to 18 V DC at 150 mA for pedals with a headroom mode.
  • Outputs 5 and 6 are alternatives — either 9 V DC / 12 V DC on output 5 or 12 V AC on output 6, one at a time, not both.
  • Five outputs run at once at 300 mA each, for 1500 mA in total, and a current-doubler cable can combine two outputs for up to 600 mA.
  • All outlets are centre-negative — standard Boss polarity.

Compatibility

  • Powers a mixed pedalboard of up to five pedals at once, with plenty of headroom for digital-plus-analog rigs.
  • Isolated design eliminates the ground-loop hum that plagues daisy-chain adapters.
  • 18 V-compatible — great for pedals with headroom modes (many boosts, overdrives, and preamps).
  • 12 V AC output — useful for a small but important class of pedals (older Line 6 modelers, certain DigiTech Whammy units, some vintage-style delays).
  • Includes power cables and a mains cord.

FAQ

How much current does each output supply?
Every 9 V DC / 12 V DC outlet supplies 300 mA, with five outputs running at once for 1500 mA in total. For a pedal that needs more, a current-doubler cable combines two outputs for up to 600 mA.

Which pedals need the 12 V AC output?
A small group of pedals — older Line 6 modeling stomps, certain DigiTech Whammy models, and some vintage-style effects — require AC rather than DC. Output 6 supplies 12 V AC as an alternative to output 5. Check your pedal's manual before switching that output on.

Is it truly isolated?
Yes — every output is transformer-isolated, so a noisy pedal will not inject hum into your other pedals via shared ground.

Will it work internationally?
The mains input switches between 115 V and 230 V, covering North America, Europe, Australia, and most of Asia. Set the voltage switch before plugging in.

Can I use it with 18 V pedals?
Yes — outlet 4 switches to 18 V DC at 150 mA for pedals with headroom modes.

Warranty?
2-year manufacturer warranty.
