About This Item
Description
Stop juggling a pedalboard full of separate boxes. The Valeton GP-200 puts 240+ effects, 140+ amp and cabinet models, and a built-in expression pedal into one floor unit, so you can build a full rig, save it as a patch, and call it up with one footswitch tap at rehearsal or on stage.
Why guitarists and bassists choose the GP-200
- Up to 11 movable modules run at once, so you build the exact signal chain your song needs instead of a fixed layout.
- 256 patch slots (100 factory, 156 user) let you save a different rig for every song on a setlist and recall it instantly.
- The built-in expression pedal controls up to 3 parameters at once, so wah, volume swells and pitch effects don't need a separate expression pedal.
- Doubles as a USB-C audio interface (6-in/4-out) with loopback and re-amping, so the same unit that gigs with you also records at home.
- 20 user cabinet IR slots let you load third-party impulse responses beyond the 140+ built-in amp/cab models.
- A 180-second looper with auto-record and undo/redo, plus 100 drum patterns, covers practice and songwriting.
- Balanced XLR outputs and separate 1/4" outputs let you feed a PA and a stage amp at the same time.
Controls and footswitches
- 4.3-inch color TFT display (480 x 272) with multi-language menus.
- 8 customizable LED footswitches with 3 footswitch templates; the upper row is protected against accidental activation.
- Footswitches −, +, CTRL, TAP and A–D: A–D load patches, − and + change banks, and holding TAP opens the built-in chromatic tuner.
- Amp knobs (Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble, Presence, Volume), PARA and MASTER knobs, and dedicated module buttons (PRE, WAH, DST, AMP, NR, CAB, EQ, MOD, DLY, RVB).
- Built-in optical-sensor expression pedal with two modes (A and B), switched by pressing the pedal fully forward; each mode controls up to 3 parameters.
- 1/4" TRS EXP/FS jack for an external expression pedal or footswitch.
Connections & Power
- Input: 1/4" TS instrument input with three impedance settings — A.GT 4.7 MΩ, E.GT 1 MΩ, Line 10 kΩ.
- Outputs: L/R 1/4" unbalanced and L/R XLR balanced (1 kΩ), with a ground-lift switch.
- FX loop: 1/4" send and return for external pedals.
- 1/8" stereo aux input (also routed to USB for streaming) and 1/8" headphone output (22 Ω).
- 5-pin MIDI IN, OUT and THRU.
- USB 2.0 Type-C audio interface: 6-in/4-out, 16- or 24-bit at 44.1 kHz, Windows, macOS, iOS and Android (free ASIO driver for Windows).

FAQ
How many effects can I run at once on the GP-200? Up to 11 freely movable effect modules simultaneously, drawn from 240+ effects and 140+ amp/cab models.
Does the GP-200 have a built-in expression pedal? Yes, a built-in optical-sensor expression pedal with two modes, each controlling up to 3 parameters, plus a 1/4" TRS EXP/FS jack for an external pedal or footswitch.
What power supply does it need, and is one included? 9V DC, 1000 mA, center-negative (5.5 x 2.1 mm barrel). A 9V DC adapter comes in the box; the unit does not run on batteries.
Can I use the GP-200 as an audio interface? Yes, a USB-C 6-in/4-out audio interface with loopback and re-amping on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.
Does it have MIDI? Yes, full-size 5-pin MIDI IN, OUT and THRU jacks for external controllers and other MIDI gear.
Does the GP-200 work for bass and acoustic guitar too? Yes. The amp models cover guitar, bass and acoustic, and the input has A.GT, E.GT and Line impedance settings.
What's the difference between GP-200 and GP-200R? None in features or hardware — the GP-200R is the same unit in a red finish.
How is it different from the GP-200JR and GP-200LT? Same effects engine. The GP-200 has 8 footswitches, a built-in expression pedal and 5-pin MIDI. The GP-200JR is smaller, with 3 footswitches, a built-in expression pedal and no MIDI jacks. The GP-200LT is the lightest, with 4 footswitches, no built-in expression pedal and 1/8" TRS MIDI.
