About This Item
Description
Want Dapper Bass essentials in a smaller footprint for practice? The Dapper Bass Mini keeps the tuner, boost/compressor, bass amp simulator and chorus from the full Dapper Bass, trading the envelope filter, octave and FX loop for an AUX input and headphone output built for silent practice.
Why bassists choose the Dapper Bass Mini
- An AUX input lets you plug in a phone or MP3 player to practice along with backing tracks.
- A headphone output with its own level knob means quiet practice without an amp.
- Balanced XLR output still goes straight into a mixer or interface, matching the full-size Dapper Bass for DI duties.
- The BASS AMP module's 3-band EQ stays clean and responsive even with the gain turned up.
- A smaller 197 mm metal chassis than the full Dapper Bass, for a lighter pedalboard footprint.
Dapper Bass vs Dapper Bass Mini (MES-2)
The full Dapper Bass keeps the DIRTY Q envelope filter, analog OCTAVE, an FX loop and a THRU jack in a 320 mm strip; the Dapper Bass Mini here trades those for AUX input and headphone output, in a smaller chassis better suited to practice and simpler live setups.
Controls and modules
- TUNER — built-in tuner; hold the CHORUS footswitch to engage it. The knob LEDs show the string and whether the note is sharp or flat.
- BOOST COMP — BOOST and COMP knobs for a combined booster and compressor.
- BASS AMP — VOL, BASS, MID, TREBLE and GAIN knobs for amp-style tone shaping.
- CHORUS — RATE and DEPTH controls.
- PHONES — adjustable level knob for headphone practice.
- 3 footswitches: BOOST COMP, BASS AMP, CHORUS/TUNER.

FAQ
What's the current draw? 100 mA at 9V DC, center negative. A 9V adapter is included.
Does it have an FX loop or octave effect? No — those are on the full-size Dapper Bass. The Mini trades them for an AUX input and headphone output.
Can I practice with headphones? Yes, a dedicated 1/8" PHONES output with its own level knob.
Can I play along with backing tracks? Yes, via the 1/8" AUX input for a phone or MP3 player.
Can I go direct to a mixer or interface? Yes, through the balanced XLR output; the 1/4" output can feed your amp at the same time.
How do I use the tuner? Hold the CHORUS footswitch; the knob LEDs show the string and whether you're sharp or flat.
How is this different from the full Dapper Bass? The full Dapper Bass keeps the envelope filter, analog octave and FX loop in a larger 320 mm strip; this Mini is smaller with AUX input and headphone output instead.
