Which Eventide delay is this?
Rose is Eventide's modulated bucket-brigade-style delay: an analog dry path with Mix, Filter and Feedback wrapped around a digital delay line that can be modulated, reversed and stretched from 10 microseconds out to 50 seconds. TimeFactor is the bigger twin-engine delay with ten algorithms, MIDI DIN and a looper. UltraTap is the multi-tap and pad-swell specialist in the compact .9 enclosure. Rose is the one you choose when you want pitch instability and hands-on modulation rather than menus.

Power and pedalboard compatibility
Runs on a 9V DC center-negative supply (the usual BOSS-standard polarity) through a 5.5 mm / 2.1 mm barrel plug, drawing up to 200 mA, so a normal isolated pedalboard output is enough. Bypass is selectable between Relay, Buffered and Input Kill, with a Kill-Dry mode added in software V3, which makes Rose equally usable at the front of a board or in a parallel effects loop. Eventide does not publish battery operation for this pedal.

Is Rose a true analog delay? It is a hybrid. The dry path with Mix, Filter and Feedback is analog, while the delay line itself is digital, which is how it reaches 50 seconds and reverse playback.
How long can the delay get? The base delay runs from 10 microseconds to 10 seconds, and Delay Multiply at 2X, 3X, 4X or 5X extends that to 50 seconds.
Can I modulate it from a modular system? Yes. External CV is one of the five selectable modulation sources, alongside Sine, Square, Random and Envelope.
