Description
Rose keeps the dry signal analog and then bends the delay line itself, sweeping from half to double the set delay time so the repeats slide up to an octave up or down like a tape machine being pushed by hand.
Rose is Eventide's "bit-bucket brigade" delay: an analog dry path with analog Mix, low-pass Filter and Feedback wrapped around a digital delay line that can be modulated, reversed and stretched from 10 microseconds out to 50 seconds. TimeFactor is the bigger twin-engine delay with nine delay algorithms, a looper and 5-pin MIDI; Rose is the one you choose when you want pitch instability and hands-on modulation rather than menus.

- The dry path stays analog while the delay line is digital, so you keep the analog Mix, Filter and Feedback character without giving up long, clean delay times.
- Modulation sweeps the delay time from 0.5x to 2x, pitching the repeats across roughly an octave in either direction rather than adding polite vibrato.

Is Rose a true analog delay? It is a hybrid. The dry path with Mix, Filter and Feedback is analog, while the delay line itself is digital, which is how it reaches 50 seconds and reverse playback.
How long can the delay get? The base delay runs from 10 microseconds to 10 seconds, and Delay Multiply at 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x extends that to 50 seconds.
Can I modulate it from a modular system? Yes. External CV is one of the five modulation sources, alongside Sine, Square, Random and Envelope.
Does Rose take MIDI? Yes. MIDI runs over the shared 1/4" control jack, and software V3 adds MIDI Tap Tempo and Clock Receive. Mini USB connects it to Eventide Device Manager for presets, settings and updates.
