Which Eventide modulation pedal is this?
TriceraChorus is the dedicated chorus in the .9 series: three chorus voices, a three-phase LFO, MicroPitch detuning and a Swirl footswitch that pushes into flanging, phasing and Uni-Vibe territory. If you want chorus, phaser, flanger, tremolo, rotary and more in one floor unit with 100 presets, that is the ModFactor. If you want the detuning without the chorus voices, the MicroPitch is the smaller specialist. Riptide pairs a Uni-Vibe with drive rather than a chorus.

Power and pedalboard compatibility
Runs on a 9V DC center-negative supply through a 5.5 mm / 2.1 mm barrel plug and draws up to 300 mA, so it needs an isolated 300 mA (or higher) output rather than a shared daisy chain. Eventide includes a universal power supply with US, EU, UK, JP and AU adapters. Power comes from the DC jack only; Eventide does not publish battery operation for this pedal. Bypass is selectable between Buffered, Relay, DSP+FX and Kill dry, so you can run relay (true) bypass at the front of a board or keep the buffer and effect tails alive inside an amp loop. A rear Guitar/Line level switch matches the pedal to a guitar, a synth, an effects loop or an audio interface, and a Mono/Stereo switch sets how the TRS input is read.

FAQ
What is a tri-chorus? Instead of one modulated voice, three chorus voices are placed left, centre and right and modulated by a three-phase LFO. Eventide's inspiration was the classic Tri-Stereo Chorus, and the result is a much wider stereo image.
Can I use the detune on its own? Yes. The detune section is independent of the chorus voices, so you can run MicroPitch style thickening with the chorus depth at zero.
Does TriceraChorus have tap tempo? Yes, but not from its own footswitches. Connect an aux switch to the EXP jack and assign it to Tap Tempo, or use a triple aux switch for preset up, down and load.
What does the Swirl footswitch do? It brings in additional movement that takes the pedal into flanging, phasing and Uni-Vibe style territory on top of the chorus voices.
Will a daisy chain power it? Not reliably. It draws up to 300 mA at 9V center negative, so give it an isolated output rated 300 mA or more.
Is it analog? It is a digital DSP effect with an analog input and output stage, voiced after bucket-brigade chorus hardware. Relay (true) bypass is one of four selectable bypass modes.
