About This Item
Description
The Hotone Ampero Switch adds two extra momentary footswitches to an Ampero-family unit's external control jack, so you get looper, tap tempo, or bank-up/down control without reaching for the touchscreen mid-song.
The housing is the same brushed aluminum alloy used on the original Ampero series, and the switches are chosen for comfortable action and long service life. It also works with other devices that have an external control jack and support momentary footswitch controllers; the available functions depend on the host device.
Why guitarists choose the Ampero Switch
- Made for the Ampero family: Ampero, Ampero One and Ampero Mini all support it on their external pedal jacks, and Ampero Control accepts it on either EXP/CTRL jack.
- Comes with an 80 cm TRS cable in the box, so there is no separate cable purchase to get it working.
- Assign each switch independently: Looper Rec/Play, Looper Stop, Drum On/Off, Tuner, Bank +/-, Tap Tempo, Patch +/-, EXP On/Off, and individual FX-module on/off are all assignable on Ampero.
- Bank switching in Wait mode lets you preselect a bank while the current patch keeps playing, then confirm with a footswitch.
- Ultra-compact and light at 130 g in a durable aluminum housing, so it barely adds bulk to a pedalboard.
- Fully passive: no power supply, no battery, just a single TRS connection to your host's external pedal jack.

- Footswitch A – assignable momentary switch (FS5 TAP on Ampero, FS4 TAP on Ampero One; Bank - by default).

What is the difference between Ampero Switch and Ampero Switch+ (FS-2)? Ampero Switch is the original dual momentary footswitch in the first-generation Ampero finish, 100 x 40 x 42 mm and 130 g. Ampero Switch+ has a sloped, anti-tip white aluminum-alloy case matching Ampero II Stomp/Stage, at 102 x 63.5 x 49.6 mm and 190 g.
How do I set it up on Ampero or Ampero One? Connect to the EXP 2/FS jack, then set GLOBAL > EXP2/FS > MODE to Dual FS in the device menu and assign functions to footswitches A and B.
Can I assign looper or tuner functions to the switches? Yes, assignable functions on Ampero include Looper Rec/Play, Looper Stop, Drum, Tuner, Bank +/-, Tap Tempo, Patch +/-, EXP On/Off, and per-module FX on/off.
Does it need power? No. It is a passive switch with no DC jack or battery; a single TRS cable to the host is the whole setup.
Will this work with Ampero II Stomp or Stage? The model designed for the Ampero II series is Ampero Switch+ (FS-2); Ampero Switch is a momentary dual footswitch and works with hosts that support a dual momentary footswitch on their control jack.
