The Asabi is the world's first pedal with swappable true-analog distortion plug-ins, pairing a physically interchangeable distortion channel with a full overdrive circuit so Mateus Asato's signature range of gain is always one plug-in away.

Controls and switches
- VOLUME (distortion) — Master output level for the distortion channel.

- BASS / MIDDLE / TREBLE — 3-band active Baxandall EQ on the distortion channel, +/-20dB per band, mids at 660Hz.
- VOL / TONE / DRIVE (overdrive) — Independent controls for the overdrive channel's level, brightness, and gain.
- DIST and DRIVE footswitches — Engage each channel independently; hold either over 1 second to enter clipping program mode, or press both together for GAIN CYCLE.

Runs on a 9V MAX DC center-negative supply with a minimum current draw of 120mA. No battery operation is published for this pedal.

What distortion plug-in does the Asabi ship with? It ships preloaded with the MODERN HIGH GAIN analog distortion plug-in, based on a Marshall JCM800-style hard-clipping circuit; additional plug-ins are sold separately.
Can I really swap the distortion circuit? Yes. The distortion plug-ins are complete analog circuit boards, not software presets, and install in a socket on the pedal.
