About This Item
Description
The Meris LVX breaks from fixed delay presets entirely, letting you connect processing elements and control-signal modifiers however you like for up to 2540 ms of configurable dual delay, plus an always-available true stereo looper.
Which Meris LVX is this?
LVX is a modular delay system: you connect discrete processing elements and control-signal modifiers however you like for up to 2540 ms of configurable dual delay, with a color screen, 99 presets across 33 banks, a true stereo 60-second looper, an instant tuner, and native 5-pin DIN plus USB-C MIDI. Many of its processing elements are adapted from other Meris pedals: the Poly delay structure, Chorus, Flanger, Dynamic Flanger and Barberpole come from Polymoon; the Compressor, Ladder Filter and State Variable Filter from Enzo; Harmony, Micro Tune and Mono Chroma from Hedra; and the Bit Crusher and Lo-Fi elements from Ottobit Jr.
Why guitarists choose the LVX
- Modular architecture lets you patch processing elements and control-signal modifiers however you like, instead of picking from fixed delay presets.
- Up to 2540 ms of dual delay, with selectable note divisions for each side, covers everything from tight slap-back to long ambient trails.
- Always-available true stereo 60-second looper works independently of the delay engine.
- Color screen and 99 onboard presets make deep patches easy to build, name, and recall, with a Favorites bank for 3 instant-access presets.
- Instant-access tuner with configurable reference and output mode, available without leaving your patch or stepping on an extra pedal.
- Native 5-pin DIN MIDI In/Out plus USB-C give full remote control with no external converter box needed.
Delay Structures, Types and Processing
- Delay structures: Standard, MultiTap, Multi Filter, Poly, Reverse, Series.
- Delay types: Digital, BBD (bucket-brigade style), Magnetic (tape-style).
- Dynamics: Compressor, Swell, Diffusion, Limiter.
- Preamp: Volume Pedal, Tube, Transistor, Op-Amp, Drive, Bit Crusher.
- Filter: Ladder Filter, State Variable Filter, Comb Filter, Parametric.
- Pitch: Poly Chroma, Harmony, Micro Tune, Mono Chroma, Lo-Fi.
- Modulation: Chorus, Flanger, Dynamic Flanger, Cassette, Barberpole, Granulize, Ring Mod.
- A Modifier section routes control signals to processing parameters; the expression pedal can morph several parameters at once.
- True stereo processing throughout; the Poly Pitch shifter runs in mono.
Controls and switches
- Time — Sets the base delay time, up to 2540 ms.
- Feedback — Controls how many times the delay repeats feed back into themselves for shorter slaps or long, cascading trails.
- Mix — Blends delay output with your dry signal.
- Mod — Sets the amount of modulation applied to the repeats.
- C1 / C2 controllers — On the preset page, edit the two favorite parameters assigned to them; in the edit pages, C1 selects a parameter and C2 changes its value.
- C3 controller — Turns to change presets, pushes to enter edit mode, and holds to save — the main way to browse LVX's 99 presets across 33 banks.
- 4 LED buttons (1, 2, 3, Tap) — Mirror the four footswitches for desktop and studio use without reaching for the floor.
- Footswitches 1, 2, 3 — Engage or bypass presets in normal play (hold 1 + 2 for the Favorites bank); in Looper Mode they become Record/Overdub, Play/Stop, and Loop FX 1 (Play Once, Retrigger, or Expression Pedal Warp).
- Tap footswitch — Taps in delay time; hold to enter the always-available true stereo 60-second looper, where it doubles as Loop FX 2 (Reverse, Half Speed, or Half Speed/Reverse). Hold 3 + Tap for the tuner.
Connections & Power
- Stereo input and output on separate 1/4" jacks; headroom switchable between Instrument and Line/Synth levels, so LVX works with guitar, bass, synths and line-level sources.
- Dedicated expression pedal jack.
- 5-pin DIN MIDI In and Out (MIDI Thru selectable in Globals): continuous control, preset send/receive and MIDI beat clock sync.
- USB-C for firmware updates and MIDI over USB (firmware 1.5 and later).
- Free prEDITOR desktop editor/librarian (Mac/PC) for editing, organizing and sharing presets.
- Power: 9V DC center-negative, 2.1 mm barrel, at least 300 mA. A power supply is not included.
Use an isolated supply output rated for at least 300 mA. Tested-compatible supplies include the Meris 9V supply, MXR Mini Iso-Brick, MXR Iso-Brick and Cioks DC7; units shipped from November 10, 2022 have a startup-delay modification that adds compatibility with supplies such as the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 3, Pedal Power 4x4 and X8, Strymon Zuma and Ojai, Truetone 1 SPOT Pro CS12, Cioks Ciokolate, RockBoard ISO Power Block 9 and MXR Iso-Brick Pro. The relay true bypass works with mono input and output only; stereo connections, Trails, Spillover, or Kill Dry automatically switch LVX to Analog Buffered Bypass, so plan pedalboard placement around whichever bypass mode your patch uses.

FAQ
How much delay time does LVX have? Up to 2540 ms of highly configurable dual delay, with selectable note divisions for each side.
Does LVX have a looper? Yes. An always-available true stereo 60-second looper, entered by holding the Tap footswitch.
Does LVX have a tuner? Yes. Hold footswitch 3 and Tap together to open the instant-access tuner.
Can LVX replace my Polymoon, Enzo or Hedra? LVX includes processing elements adapted from those pedals — for example the Poly structure and Barberpole from Polymoon, the Ladder Filter from Enzo and Harmony from Hedra — but it is a different, modular delay platform rather than a copy of their effect engines.
Does LVX work with the Meris Preset Switch? No. LVX selects presets with its own four footswitches and over MIDI; its EXP jack is a dedicated expression pedal input.
Does LVX need the Meris MIDI I/O box? No. LVX has its own 5-pin DIN MIDI In/Out jacks plus MIDI over USB-C on firmware 1.5 and later.
What power supply does LVX need? 9V DC, center-negative, 2.1 mm barrel, at least 300 mA. A power supply is not included.
Is LVX true bypass in stereo? No. Relay true bypass works only with mono input and output; stereo connections, Trails, Spillover and Kill Dry use analog buffered bypass.
How do I update LVX firmware? Hold footswitches 1 and 3 while powering up, connect the rear USB-C jack to a computer, copy the extracted .bin firmware file onto the LVX drive, eject, then power cycle.
