MercuryX takes the heart and soul of the two-footswitch Mercury7 — keeping its Ultraplate and Cathedra algorithms — and expands it with six more reverbs (78 Room, 78 Plate, 78 Hall, Spring, Prism, and Gravity), 2.54 seconds of stereo predelay, independent stereo Freeze, gate envelopes, a color-screen UI, 99 presets across 33 banks, an instant tuner, and native 5-pin DIN plus USB-C MIDI. Mercury7 remains a compact 6-knob, two-footswitch, 16-preset reverb, available separately as its own pedal on our site.

MercuryX runs on 9V DC, center-negative, 2.1 mm barrel, drawing at least 300 mA — use an isolated multi-output supply rated for that current. The relay true bypass is mono only; running true stereo I/O, Trails, Spillover, or Kill Dry automatically switches MercuryX to Analog Buffered Bypass, so plan pedalboard placement around whichever bypass mode your patch uses.

Does MercuryX have a tap-tempo footswitch?
Not a dedicated one. The Hold Modifier switch can be configured per preset for Tap Tempo action, and MIDI beat clock sync is also supported.
Is MercuryX true stereo?
Yes. True stereo processing throughout, with the Prism structure using discrete dual mono processing.
Does MercuryX work with the Meris Preset Switch?
No. The Preset Switch is officially listed as compatible only with Ottobit Jr., Mercury7, Polymoon, Enzo, and Hedra; MercuryX handles presets from its own front panel and over MIDI.
Does MercuryX need the Meris MIDI I/O box?
No. MercuryX has its own 5-pin DIN MIDI In/Out jacks plus MIDI over USB-C on firmware 1.5 and later.
