The Meris MIDI I/O converts standard 5-pin DIN MIDI to the TRS protocol Meris's two-footswitch pedals expect, unlocking full MIDI parameter control, all 16 internal presets, and offline preset backup on up to four pedals at once.
What it does
The MIDI I/O is a compact, pedalboard-friendly interface that sits between a standard 5-pin DIN MIDI source — a controller, a DAW, or a computer — and the TRS expression jack on a Meris two-footswitch pedal. Because the MIDI standard calls for active opto-isolator electronics, Meris recommends this box over a passive MIDI-to-TRS cable, which can suffer grounding issues, latency, or unreliable operation.
Compatibility
Officially compatible with the Enzo, Hedra, Mercury7, Ottobit Jr., and Polymoon — the five pedals whose EXP jack must be configured for MIDI. One MIDI I/O drives up to four of these pedals at once, passing MIDI from the output of one pedal to the input of the next. It is not needed for LVX, MercuryX, Enzo X, or Ottobit X, which have their own built-in 5-pin DIN and USB-C MIDI.
