How is the Echorec different from the Replicator D'Luxe?
Both are mechanical, real-media delays hand-built by T-Rex. The Binson Echorec uses a rotating magnetic drum with two recording heads and four switchable playback heads, generating chiming, chorused multi-tap repeats and a signature Repeat/Swell mode. The T-Rex Replicator D'Luxe uses a moving tape loop — warmer, more saturated, and less forward. Both are separate models on our site.

Is this a real magnetic-drum delay?
Yes — a custom alloy drum physically rotates past a set of recording and playback heads. It is not a digital emulation.
How is it different from the Replicator D'Luxe?
The Binson Echorec is a magnetic-drum delay with four playback heads and a Repeat/Swell mode; expect chiming, multi-tap, chorused repeats. The Replicator D'Luxe is a moving-tape echo with two playback heads; expect warm, saturated, tape-modulated repeats.
Can I use a standard 9 V pedalboard supply?
No — the Echorec requires the included 24 V DC / 300 mA supply. Do not substitute a 9 V or 12 V brick.
Does the XLR output work with a PA?
Yes — the balanced XLR out lets you feed the Echorec directly into a mixing console for studio work or live applications.
Where does it sit in my chain?
After drives and before amp effects loop is a common placement. If you have a stereo rig, use the XLR out for the wet signal into the FOH/mixer.
