Great to take to an open stage as you can just plug straight to the p.a. I use the pre amp on my acoustic, and the comp on my resonator. I would usually use the FOH reverb, but it's nice that it's there, and sounds good. The knobs are a bit stiff, but to me that's a plus, I can put it out of my case and it's set the same as before.

Good at its price, it serves my purpose.

Having joined a band on vocals and acoustic, I very nearly started down the path of putting together a hefty pedal board and possibly even purchasing an acoustic amp.

However as I use public transport for gigs and don't have a whole lot of space at home I was kind of hoping a more mobile and affordable option existed.

This pedal is essentially everything I wanted - a pre-amp, tuner, reverb and compressor for live acoustic players - all in one.

The pre-amp is great and helps me out massively as I play a non-electronic steel string with an unpowered pick up slotted into the mouth, so the signal is extremely quiet without one.

The tuner isn't amazing but does the job, and on acoustic it's not like you have to tune in silence onstage like you do with an electric.

The reverb is hardly a flood of reverb even cranked up to the max but this is sort of a good thing as it gives you just enough to create a nice vibey sound without getting you lost in a fog. If you want more there are plenty of good pedals out there for that.

There is only one major con here, and that is the compressor. It's noisy as hell. A really nasty hiss can be heard when activated, so if you're into heavy compression you might need a gate pedal to get rid of this noise, or better yet, buy separately. Thankfully with my set up, the pick up I use already creates a very flat sound so I only use a quarter of the compression, which is just to give the overall volume a bit of a nudge. Thankfully a quarter way up you can't hardly hear the noise.

Overall very solid option for gigging, not much for recording - but technically you should be mic'ing up an acoustic anyway, so subjectively speaking this is still 5* from me, as this tidy thing looks good, feels well built and tucks away under the mic stand perfectly.

I like when reviewers give their background,what they've worked with in the past etc.This way you know exactly what bowl of experience its coming from. Having said that, I'm a touring acoustic guitarist since 1980. In the most part as soon as a product comes out I tend to want to test it. I'm going to refine this review to make it clear that this unit by is far appropriate for 99% of the acoustic guitar population tough to beat for the money and well worth it. The Reverb is simple and well-thought-out they obviously picked a very popular setting oh, quite nice actually. The preamp section is surprisingly good with a warm touch to it, specifically good for taking away that piezo bite. And finally the compressor which although is good makes for the four star instead of five star. Overall this really should be a 5-star rating but I am writing this review for other touring professionals that may be considering this option. It is the slightest bit noisy on the compressor side,a good setting can be dialed in,it does its job,warms things up,punchy but overall it's a little bit noisier than the higher-end units but considering this is a 4 in 1 unit..its a no brainer. As a comparison my last record was with a Universal Audio, Avalon and a Neve preamp. Somewhere in the 5k zone,is this unit as good? Ugh no! Is it day and night...ugh NOT Really.The Tommy Emmanuel and Phil Keaggys of the world would probably have something to say(both of who I've played with) Me? I like it.So where would a slight noise of the compressor be a nuisance, in a pin drop acoustic Auditorium type setting and direct connection for recording a pristine album( which you'd want to use a top notch compressor anyway. In your standard Rock concert setting it would have no impact whatsoever.for live,outta the box,very impressive,worth the money ABSOLUTELY. Hope this helps.
