FAQ
Does the New Wave need an 18V power supply? Yes. The New Wave is the only pedal in this lineup that requires an 18V DC center-negative supply rated at 300mA or more; a standard 9V supply is not sufficient.
Can I run the New Wave in true stereo? Yes. Holding TAP at power-up switches between STANDARD mode (mono in, stereo out) and TRS mode (true stereo in and out using TRS cables on the input and L-OUT jacks).
Does the New Wave support MIDI? Yes, over a 1/8" TRS jack in Standard/Type A configuration using a DIN-5-to-TRS MIDI cable; MIDI CCs control every mode, depth, speed, phase, ratio, and delay parameter.
Is the New Wave true bypass or buffered? True bypass is the pedal's normal, default state. Holding the left footswitch for 1 second engages the optional BLOOM function, which fades the effect in and out on footswitch taps and switches the pedal to buffered bypass only while BLOOM is active; disabling BLOOM returns it to true bypass.
Do my mode settings survive a power cycle? Yes. Depth, speed, phase/ratio, delay, wave shape, BLOOM, and RAMP settings are saved per mode to non-volatile memory and recalled on power-up.
Is the New Wave still in production? The original New Wave has been discontinued by Jackson Audio; remaining stock is sold while supplies last.
