Description
The Hotone Ampero Mini MP-50VN Vanilla is the smallest, lightest first-generation Ampero processor, built for travel and desk rigs where every gram and every centimetre counts.
Inside the 529 g aluminum case are a dual-core DSP, Hotone's CDCM and F.I.R.E. modeling, 199 effects with up to 9 running at once, and a 4" 800 x 480 touchscreen. Two footswitches handle patches, tap tempo, the tuner and the looper, and an external controller jack adds two more switches or an expression pedal.

Controls and switches
- 4" 800 x 480 touchscreen – full patch/effect editing, with on-screen quick-access parameters.
- 2 footswitches – FS1 patch down, FS2 patch up; hold FS1 for CTRL 1, hold FS2 for tap tempo; press both for the tuner, hold both for the looper.
- Tap divide setting for tempo-based effects (1/1 to 1/16, including dotted and triplet values).
- VOLUME knob for overall output level.
- No power switch: the unit turns on when the power supply is connected.

- Input – 1/4" TS instrument jack (4.7 MΩ) for electric and acoustic instruments.
- Output – one 1/4" TRS unbalanced stereo jack (1 kΩ); use a Y-cable for separate left/right feeds (Tip = Left, Ring = Right).
- EXP/CTRL – 1/4" TRS for an expression pedal or a dual footswitch.

FAQ
Does Ampero Mini support NAM? There is no onboard NAM module. Ampero Mini has Sound Clone (firmware V2.2 and later): up to 10 clone files imported through Ampero Editor, one usable at a time. Ampero Editor V1.6.0 adds NAM A2 file conversion for that workflow.
What does the Vanilla colourway mean? Vanilla is one of Hotone's own colourways for Ampero Mini, sold alongside Marigold, Orange, Matcha, Mustard, and Purple Taro.
How do I get stereo output from a single output jack? The unit has one 1/4" TRS stereo output; use a TRS Y-cable to split it into separate left and right 1/4" feeds (Tip = Left, Ring = Right).
Which footswitch or expression pedal works with it? The EXP/CTRL jack takes Hotone Ampero Press or Ampero Switch; the Ampero Switch adds footswitches FS 3 and FS 4.
What power supply does it need? 9V DC center-negative with at least 500 mA; a 9V adapter is included. It does not run on batteries and has no power switch.
Can I use it with bass? Yes. It includes dedicated bass amp models and bass presets, and the instrument input works with electric and acoustic instruments.
