Description

The Bit Commander is a monophonic analog guitar synthesizer with four octaves of vintage square wave synth tones. Its no-nonsense interface makes it easy to add or subtract octaves to create a wide variety of sounds without having to dial in envelopes or oscillators. Ripping sub-octave thump, pulsing octave down, a lightly squared base tone and a swelling transformer based octave up all join together to make a single guitar sound like an army of olde tyme synths.

Sounds amazing! I use it with the earthquaker tentacle to make some trippy sounding arpeggios. Also sounds good with mild delay or distortion. One of the most unique and great sounding pedals I’ve had the pleasure of using.

Fantastic pedal that is a lot of fun to mess around with.

For 185$ kinda a one trick pony.. It is pretty cool in some regards. I would not buy again though.

This is currently my favorite pedal. I run it in my drive/fuzz loop and usually use it similar to a fuzz but when I really want a glitchy, broken type octave fuzz sound. It does that brilliantly and I'm really glad I purchased it. Earth Quaker Devices is doing a great job. They have some very creative pedals. I'm just waiting for them to produce a true stereo version of the Avalanche Run. It's a shame that pedal processes in mono.
