Description
The OX9 gives an Eventide H9 the two extra footswitches it was always missing. It attaches to the pedal itself, so preset changes, bank changes, tap tempo and the tuner move from a menu to your foot without taking up extra pedalboard space.
The OX9 is a handcrafted Barn3 auxiliary switch designed around the original Eventide H9 chassis. It carries no audio and adds no effects of its own: it simply drives functions the H9 already has. It is not compatible with the H9 Harmonizer Gen 2, whose mounting holes, cable and inputs are different.

Using an expression pedal with the OX9
- Requires H9 software V4.8 or later.
- In aux switch mode, both footswitches control H9 functions.
- With an expression pedal plugged into the OX9, the left footswitch stays assignable to an H9 function, and the right footswitch can act as a HotSwitch for the parameter the pedal controls, jumping momentarily to the heel-position setting for instant octave bends or momentary long delays.
