Description
TriceraChorus splits your signal into three chorus voices, left, center and right, so a single-coil arpeggio spreads across a stereo rig the way an early-eighties studio rack used to make it.
TriceraChorus is Eventide's compact tri-chorus: three independently adjustable voices, Chorus, Vibrato and Chorale modes, MicroPitch detuning and a Swirl footswitch that pushes into flanging, phasing and Uni-Vibe territory. Its sound is inspired by bucket-brigade analog choruses of the 1970s and 1980s and comes from Eventide's TriceraChorus plug-in. If you want chorus, phaser, flanger, tremolo, rotary and more in one floor unit with 100 presets, that is the ModFactor; Riptide pairs a Uni-Vibe with drive rather than a chorus.

Controls
- 6 dual-function knobs: Mix (also selects Chorus, Vibrato or Chorale), Rate, Detune, Left, Center and Right.
- Secondary functions: Mix Envelope, Rate Envelope, Pitch (detune amount), Delay, Filter (low or high cut) and Output Level.
- Active footswitch: dual-action, latching or momentary.
- Swirl footswitch: turns Swirl on or off and can also select presets.
- Five preset LEDs and Catch-up mode for matching knob positions when switching presets.
- Rear Guitar/Line and Mono/Stereo switches.
Connections & Power
- 1/4" TRS input reads a mono signal on the tip or a stereo pair on tip and ring, set by the rear Mono/Stereo switch; two 1/4" TS outputs.
- Rear Guitar/Line switch matches the pedal to a guitar, a synth, an effects loop or an audio interface.
- EXP jack (1/4" TRS) takes an expression pedal, a single aux switch for tap tempo, a triple aux switch for preset up/down/load, or MIDI over TRS with a Type A adapter.
- Mini USB for MIDI and software updates; presets and settings are managed in the free Eventide desktop software for Mac and PC.
- Power: 9V DC center-negative, 300 mA, 5.5 mm / 2.1 mm barrel. Use an isolated output rated 300 mA or more. A universal supply with US, EU, UK, JP and AU plugs is included.
- Bypass: Buffered, Relay (true bypass), DSP+FX (tails) or Kill Dry for parallel loops.

FAQ
What is a tri-chorus? Instead of one modulated voice, three chorus voices are placed left, center and right, each with its own control, which gives a much wider stereo image than a single voice panned twice.
Can I use the detune on its own? Yes. The Detune control adds MicroPitch style thickening under the chorus voices or on its own for a subtle double-track.
Does TriceraChorus have tap tempo? Yes, but not from its own footswitches. Connect an aux switch to the EXP jack for Tap Rate, or use a triple aux switch for preset up, down and load.
What does the Swirl footswitch do? It adds flanging, phasing and Uni-Vibe style movement on top of the chorus voices, and it can also select presets.
Will a daisy chain power it? Not reliably. It needs 9V DC center-negative at 300 mA, so give it an isolated output rated 300 mA or more. A universal supply with US, EU, UK, JP and AU plugs is included.
