About This Item

This bundle pairs the Hotone Ampero II Stage floorboard processor with the Ampero II Press expression and footswitch pedal that Hotone's own manual names as the exact match for Stage's EXP/CTRL jacks.

Bundle contents: 1x Ampero II Stage (MP-380) amp modeler/effects processor, 1x Ampero II Press (SP-35) passive switching/expression pedal. Ampero II Stage: 9-18V DC, 1.4A max, NAM A2 supported from firmware V1.7.0. Ampero II Press: fully passive, no power required. Manufacturer: Hotone.

Description

This bundle pairs the Hotone Ampero II Stage with the Ampero II Press expression/footswitch pedal made for Stage's two EXP/CTRL jacks.

Why this bundle makes sense

  • A matched pairing: Ampero II Stage's EXP/CTRL 1/2 jacks are made for Ampero II Press, and the Press connects its EXP and FOOTSWITCH jacks to Stage's EXP/CTRL jacks with two 1/4" TRS cables.
  • Ampero II Stage brings the 460+ effect engine, 5" touchscreen, 8 footswitches, XLR I/O with 48V phantom power, Bluetooth, and (on firmware V1.7.0) native on-device NAM A2 loading.
  • Ampero II Press adds independent expression and momentary toe-switch control in one passive pedal, with no extra power supply required.
  • Stage has no built-in expression pedal, so the Press adds hands-free wah, volume and parameter sweeps from day one.

Connecting the Press to Stage

  • Run one 1/4" TRS cable from the Press EXP jack and one from its FOOTSWITCH jack to Stage's EXP/CTRL 1 and EXP/CTRL 2.

FAQ

Why are these two products bundled together? Ampero II Stage has no built-in expression pedal, and its EXP/CTRL 1 and 2 jacks are made for Ampero II Press. The Press gives you an expression pedal and a momentary footswitch in one housing.

Does the Ampero II Stage in this bundle support NAM A2? Yes, from firmware V1.7.0; use Ampero II software V1.4.0 or later for the update. The Ampero II Press is a passive control pedal with no firmware.

Do I need extra cables to connect the two? Two 1/4" TRS cables are needed to wire Ampero II Press's EXP and FOOTSWITCH jacks into Stage's EXP/CTRL 1 and 2.

Does the Ampero II Press need power? No. It is fully passive and needs no power supply or batteries.

How does the Press footswitch work? It is a momentary switch with a tactile click, operated by pressing the toe of the pedal down; it has its own FOOTSWITCH jack, separate from the EXP jack.

What power supply does Stage need? 9-18V DC center-negative, up to 1.4 A at 9V. The power adapter is included with Stage.
