I have tried several different tuners over the years and never paid much attention to them until I started setting up my own guitars. Upon doing that on a Les Paul, I could not get the low E string to not buzz, and having correct intonation. Using my old tuners, they could differentiate with E was open string or when fretted (12th fret). Worse, they would mistakenly, at times, indicate that I was working on the high E string.

Then one time, randomly, I came across this concept of a tuner. Many times more expensive but promising 10 times (100?) better accuracy. I ordered one and in no time, I was able to set the intonation of all my guitars (about 10) all over their necks without any issues and super quickly. I totally recommend it!

My only concern was the top of the place where the battery of the tuner was located. It seemed to flimsy to me so thanks Amazon for allowing me to return that one and I got another rechargeable one (via USB).

It has been a blessing and a great time (life? Haha) saver. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? You bet! Save your money over time and purchasing the one tuner you will ever need!

Works well but do yourself a favour and buy a small case for it. The ON button protrudes slightly so any steady pressure from your pocket or guitar case can kill the built in battery.

Peterson makes excellent tuners. Until I bought my first one maybe a year or so ago, I'd only used cheaper Fishman clip-on tuners, the old kind of block tuners for plugging an electric or acoustic electric into..and the decades of the usual Guitar Centers stock tuners; always less than 20 bucks, same ole same ole. Peterson tuners..you will spend more for, but from an almost 60-year guitar player like myself, the strobe technology is worth looking into because it really does zero into super duper in tune; I needed a bit of Googling to even know what the science is and what 'strobe' even meant. And then there are the tuners built into acoustic guitars..that don't zero in so well, you can tune via your I Phone or I Mac even, for that matter. but the cheaper clip-ons aren't much better. Peterson thakes it many click upward on the 'in-tune' meter. And Peterson tuners aren't nexpensive; I paid 60 someting for my first one, then 79 or so for the second. Is it worth is..? For me, yes. And those are the 'lesser-priced' Petersons..some cost a couple hundred and up. If you want quality, you have to spend extra for it.

Well thought out presentation of locking into the pitch you need. Display is highly visible and easy to read. Packs nicely into the guitar case hatch and is ready to go when you need it. Certainly more expensive than some others, but you get what you pay for.

This thing is the atomic clock of tuners - rock solid.
There is no better tool for setting intonation since it is accurate enough to show you fractions of a cent.
The bonus comes in with "sweetened tunings" which kinda sorta originated with James Taylor.
All I will say is a sweetened tuning will almost certainly fix your g string tuning woes. Not kidding!
